Mega Phase Showcases FPGA-Accelerated Machine Vision Innovations at Automation World 2026
March 24, 2026 | Seoul, South Korea — Mega Phase Technology, a leading provider of machine vision hardware, introduced a series of diverse interactive demonstrations at Automation World 2026. Mega Phase highlights how cutting-edge industrial cameras empower manufacturers and system integrators to enhance inspection quality, throughput, and system repeatability.
By simulating nine typical inspection stations across various industries, Mega Phase demonstrates the seamless workflow of the Sizector® Industrial 3D Camera and the unique 2.5D Hybrid Data Camera. Visitors see firsthand the simplicity of capturing targets, transmitting real-time data to the equipped software development kit (MPS-SDK), and identifying microscopic defects with unparalleled precision.
"Modern components are becoming increasingly complex and miniaturized, putting immense pressure on automated inspection systems," said Jenny Hu, Marketing Specialist for the Industrial Inspection BU. "Our cameras are 'inspection specialists' powered by FPGA-based hardware acceleration. They capture subtle surface flaws and dimensional variances almost in real-time, delivering high-fidelity data without the complexity of traditional setups."
Technological Highlights at the Booth:
The industrial camera demo of Sizector showcases how system integrators and manufacturers reduce downtime and improve efficiency with the one-stop measurement work station. Sizector 3D cameras capture 2D texture and 3D height data at the same time. They are tailored for lithium-ion batteries, PCBA, wafer inspection, and so forth.
In the booth, visitors see the Hybrid Data Camera outputs over 20 algorithm-enhanced images in less than one second, exposing defects invisible to the naked eye and ensuring superior yield.
On-board Computing: By utilizing built-in FPGA acceleration, industrial cameras of Mega Phase offload intensive processing tasks from the Industrial PC. This frees up critical system resources for other automation logic.
"The success of any vision system starts at the source," Jenny emphasized. "High-quality input is essential for high-quality output, especially for AI and deep learning training sets. System integrators no longer need to worry about system failures or inefficiencies caused by poor image quality."
Although the exhibition has concluded, Mega Phase remains committed to your success. Our local Proof of Concept (POC) Lab in South Korea is fully equipped with Mega Phase industrial cameras and staffed by expert engineers to provide feasibility testing and optimal configuration for your specific samples.
